Additional Program Funding for Flint Concerning Water

Five members of Michigan’s Congressional delegation are asking the House Committee on Appropriations for additional funding for programs they say are needed in Flint to deal with the aftermath of the city’s water crisis. U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee, D-Flint, and four other Democratic members of made the request via written mail Monday. The members of Congress asked U.S. Reps for increased funding for the Emergency Food Assistance Program. Flint Mayor Karen Weaver also said she will recommend a plan for where the city gets its water in the future during a town hall meeting next week.
